Sellers need more than a single search screenshot: how a listing sits on page one over days, what price and review context look like, and a place to merge old CSV exports with fresh scrapes.
iScale Etsy is built as a local-first Chrome extension: scrapes and tables live in browser IndexedDB; CSV is parsed and generated on your machine. The public edition has no private production endpoint and no account wall for that research loop.
The research stack inside the extension
Multi-term batch scrapes queue many Etsy searches (default up to 10 result pages per term, paced listing visits). Ranking history stores keyword, page, position, title, price, rating, reviews, image, and ad flag with timestamps. Shop View turns your data into a storefront-style grid. CSV warehouse merges and dedupes. Live dashboard and toolbar badge stream capture totals.

Public edition research data lives in browser IndexedDB with local CSV import/export. There is no hosted research backend for that corpus.
